Okay, I must admit, I am always excited to interview a fellow African. But a fellow EAST AFRICAN WOMAN? That's a special treat. Especially when it's the multi talented musician, vocalist, and ethnomusicologist Meklit Hadero. Ethiopian-American Meklit is the mama of The Nile Project- a project that brings musicians from the Nile River valley to play together, learn from each other, and then open up the conversation to East African relations. Central to this engagement is water- how it's used, how it should be used.
