Sharing Ramadan

If you live in or visit San Francisco, you may have recognized the above picture - MUNI buses and billboards around the City that say "Why Islam?". That's part of an outreach campaign Bay Area Muslims are conducting to help spread understanding of their religion.
Another such campaign is called "Sharing Ramadan". These days (until September 20th)Muslims around the Bay Area are in the final days of the month of Ramadan, when they fast from food and drink from dawn to dusk, every day for 30 days. The majority of US Muslims are in California. The "Sharing Ramadan" campaign opens mosque doors to the community for one night of food and mutual understanding.
I dropped in at the Muslim Community Association in Santa Clara. The mosque asked the congregation to invite their non-Muslim friends, colleagues and neighbors to come break the fast with them at sunset.
